Panic Disorder can be a debilitating condition but is treatable and responds to a variety of approaches.

Panic-Focused Psychodynamic Psychotherapy has been proven successful for treating panic disorder in prior studies. The focus of our trial is to assess effectiveness of PFPP delivered in private practice setting where majority of treatments take place.

We are looking for eligible volunteers to participate in a 24 session treatment delivered by licensed clinical psychologists free of charge. Though eligibility can be only determined by testing, one can likely qualify if he/she answers “yes” on all three of the following questions:

  • Have you ever had a sudden rush of anxiety when you suddenly felt frightened, anxious, or extremely uncomfortable?
  • Do these attacks come ‘out of the blue’…are their onsets unexpected and unpredictable?
  • Do these attacks reach their peak within 10 minutes?
Even if you are not sure how to answer these questions and want to know more about the study, please, do not hesitate to contact us.
